Does Planner.day integrate with Google Chat?

Yes. Planner.day works inside Google Chat: /planner creates a task, /list and /today show your work, and /help lists the commands. Workflow rules can send their alerts to a person as a Google Chat direct message, and a task shows as a card in the conversation rather than a bare link. People are matched by the Google account they already use to sign in to Planner.day.

If your team lives in Google Workspace, the conversation about the work happens in Google Chat. Planner.day meets it there, so a request does not have to be copied into another tab to become work.

Commands

  • /planner creates a task from what you type.
  • /list shows your open work.
  • /today shows what is due today.
  • /help lists the commands.

Tasks as cards

A task posted to Google Chat shows as a card with its title, status and a button to open it, so the conversation can see where it stands without anyone following a link.

Workflow alerts as direct messages

A workflow rule can tell a person about a change as a Google Chat direct message: a task assigned to them, a status that moved, a request that came in. The alert reaches the right person because they are matched by the Google account they already use to sign in to Planner.day.
